What Are Scabies?
Not familiar with Scabies? Well, it's an ectoparasite skin infection that is commonly characterized by superficial burrows and intense itching that can drive you nuts! The condition is caused by a tiny little mite known as Sarcoptes scabiei.

What Are The Other Names of Scabies?
The condition is also known as Mange, Mite, Itch Mite, Crusted Scabies, Sarcoptes scabiei, The Seven-Year Itch and Norwegian Scabies. But no matter what you call it, it's a horrible skin condition.

Along with the itching that scabies causes, you'll can also get blisters and pustules on the palms and soles of the feet. Although this is most common in infants.

You'll also most likely get S-shaped grooves in your skin that are usually accompanied by small, insect-like bites called nodules that may even look like pimples on a good day. These grooves and nodules are quite often located in the crevasses of your body, such as between your fingers, toes, elbows, waist area, buttocks, genital area, and under your breasts if you're a women or even men, if your breasts are big enough.

The insane itching and rash that comes with a scabies infection is caused directly by an allergic reaction your body is having to the burrowing of the tiny scabies mites. They're so tiny, you may never actually see one!

Scabies Treatment
If you've never been exposed to scabies before, then you'll usually show some signs and symptoms within 4–6 weeks after infestation by the mites. However, believe it or not, but some people may not even realize that they have it for years! However, if you've had scabies before, then you can expect to see the usual signs withn 2 to 4 days after infestation.
